LAIIX-Architecture

The LAIIX infrastructure consists of two (primary and secondary) Brocade LAN switches. The LAIIX switches are interconnected to the CIIX (formerly LAAP) switch. Thus LAIIX members can peer with any members at CIIX. The address space of 198.32.146.0/24 is shared with CIIX for interoperability.

DNS F.Root-Server.net Mirror

TELEHOUSE America and Internet Software Consortium (www.isc.org) agreed to jointly establish a DNS F.root-servers.net mirror in the NYIIX and the LAIIX.
Members can directly send/receive queries to/from the root servers by peering with them. This capability allows us to provide members and their customers with increased performance and robustness of DNS service.
